KOSCO’s Global Business Division identifies promising companies and new business opportunities worldwide based on the Group’s existing technologies and business capabilities. Through strategic investments and partnerships, the division is responsible for securing new engines of long-term growth.
Our objective extends beyond expanding into additional markets. We continuously identify companies with the technologies, professional talent, production facilities, distribution networks, and local business foundations needed to strengthen the competitiveness of our subsidiaries. Where strong business potential and strategic alignment are identified, we pursue cooperation through equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, technology partnerships, and jointly developed projects.
Our investment and partnership activities focus primarily on sectors in which KOSCO has established capabilities, including shipbuilding and marine engineering, automated production systems, artificial intelligence, batteries, natural resources, and real estate development. We prioritize opportunities capable of generating practical synergies with our existing businesses while actively exploring new industries and technologies with strong future growth potential.
We develop market-entry strategies based on comprehensive assessments of each country’s market conditions, industrial structure, technological capabilities, regulations, supply chains, and investment risks. Working closely with our overseas subsidiaries and local partners, we identify business opportunities at an early stage and connect the Group’s technologies, resources, and sales networks after investment to enhance both corporate value and operational performance.
